Coordination

When organisations share one table

Member organisations that once worked in parallel began meeting under one agenda. Referral pathways became clearer, overlapping projects were aligned, and frontline workers left with shared tools rather than competing plans.

Across the North Rift, many organisations serve children — some focused on protection casework, others on education, health, or community outreach. Without a shared table, the same families can be contacted twice while others are missed entirely.

“We did not need another project. We needed a place to coordinate.”

What changed when the network convened

Through association-led coordination, members mapped who works where, agreed a simple referral path, and set a rhythm for information sharing. The association did not replace their programmes — it made their collective response more coherent.

This is the kind of story NORCCAPA exists to enable: stronger organisations, clearer collaboration, and safer systems around children.
