Our values

How we work as an association.

These values guide how we connect members, share knowledge and keep children at the centre.

01

Children first

Every decision asks what strengthens the care, protection and wellbeing of children.

02

Collaboration

We achieve more when organisations share tables, tools and accountability.

03

Integrity

We are careful with evidence, transparent with members and honest about what is confirmed.

04

Respect for members

Member organisations do the frontline work; the association exists to strengthen and connect them.

05

Learning

We document, share and improve — practice gets better when knowledge moves.

06

Inclusion

Diverse organisations and communities belong in a network that protects all children.

07

Accountability

Governance, safeguarding and stewardship are part of how trust is earned.

08

Evidence

Claims about impact stay tied to verified network and member reach.

Accountability & stewardship

Trust is part of network leadership.

Integrity is a core value. This is how we intend to handle resources and reporting as an association.

See resources

Purpose-bound funds

Resources given for a stated purpose are used for that purpose.

Clear records

Financial activity is recorded and prepared for oversight.

Readable reports

Members and partners should be able to see what was done, where, and with whom.

Shared oversight

Material decisions are not left to one person alone.

Safeguarding

Children’s safety comes first.

As a child-focused association, safeguarding is non-negotiable for the secretariat and for how we expect members to work with children and vulnerable people.

  • Clear expectations for anyone representing the association with children
  • Concerns are taken seriously, recorded and acted on promptly
  • Image use and storytelling respect dignity, consent and privacy
  • We cooperate with lawful authorities when protection requires it
